Project Description

Project Description

This project was a renovation and modernization of twenty-six bathrooms across three different buildings in an occupied security facility. The facility was owned and leased by Cushman & Wakefield but was occupied by the Joint Task Force for the Department of Defense. Due to the highly secure nature of the facility, the project required critical attention to logistics and coordination with the client including a required escort 100% of the working hours and rigorous background checks and badging.

We provided 35% Concept Design, 95% Design Development and 100% Issued for Construction documents in 90 days due to the fast-track nature of the project. The scope of work included demolition, plumbing, electrical, finishes, millwork, partitions, and toilet accessories. Notable construction challenges working within the occupied facility included stringent security requirements, off-hours work to complete noisy definable features of work, common area cleanliness, and material transport for efficient work during occupied times of construction. Finally, this project was completed on time and under budget.
