Project Description
This Early Immersion project was a call center and pilot project for the customer, which had Admiral oversite from NAVFAC Washington Headquarters. Our Design-Build team provided 65% Design Development and 100% Final Construction documents in 60 days due to the fast-track nature of this project. The project scope was broken up to keep the Navy fully operational and was performed in three phases. The scope of work included re-configuration of modular furniture system and installation of new workstations, and new finishes, including walls, ceilings, lighting, etc. Scope also included addition and relocation of interior doors and frames. Heavy communications cabling and devices, electrical receptacles, and lighting work was included. Flooring, wall coverings and ACT ceilings were also included. Project was critical to customers mission, so time was of the essence regarding completion. MIG completed the project ahead of schedule and under budget, even returning some monies to NAVFAC. To accomplish this complex project successfully, MIG worked around the clock, with daily coordination with the Navy. MIG produced weekly schedules to compare with the clients in addition to the normal contractual requirements. This project was a great partnership with NAVFAC to produce this mission critical facility in support of the warfighter.
